Cleaning the Trash of Streets and Spreading Awareness about it

I belong to a comparatively backward area of Punjab, Jhang. Though, it has developed with time but not a great deal. Still, some old housing localities have sewerage and pollution issues. One of such localities is mohalla marzipura. I went there and talked with the local residents of that place. Almost 75% of the people there were very poor who were living hand to mouth. Their priorities were food and a clean place to live.

The aim which I wish to accomplish is to collect donations from my friends and family members and to get that area cleaned for the first time from that donation because it will cost very much the first time. To keep my efforts long lasting I will motivate and persuade people about the need for a clean and healthy environment. I will manage to find two to three sweepers for that area who will clean that locality on a daily basis and collet the daily waste from each and every house.

I will also motivate the people to co-operate with those people by not throwing waste of their house openly in the streets rather keep that waste in shopping bag and put that bag outside their house’ door on a corner so that sweeper will collect those when he comes.

As far as the salary of those sweepers is concerned, I will talk with the people of that locality that we will pay them for the first time with help of donations and afterward every family from that locality will give 100 rupees to sweeper who will clean their area. I will spread the awareness of my message through handbills on which effects of pollution and open waste will be written in Urdu. In this way, I aim to clean that locality of my town.
